Bekishe - A bekishe is a long coat, usually made of black silk or polyester worn by Chassidic Jews. While some Hasidim only wear them on special occasions, such as Shabbat and other Jewish holidays, others wear it every day having the belief that every moment is a special occasion, because at every moment one has to be constantly prepared for prayer and Torah study.
